A 35-year-old patient crushed by a pallet at work was transported by the emergency medical services (ZRM) to the emergency department with a right hand injury. Physical examination reveals hand oedema with a visible haematoma, no sensory disturbances and normal mobility. Select the correct management:

A. start analgesic treatment and immobilize the hand in the “tennis ball holder” position.
B. perform evacuation of the palpable haematoma under local anaesthesia and start empiric antibiotic therapy.
C. immobilise the upper right limb in a sling, start antithrombotic therapy.
