Cholestasis is a set of clinical and laboratory signs typical of increased serum conjugated bilirubin concentrations. According to the definition of cholestasis, it may be diagnosed in a patient with total bilirubin concentration exceeding 5 mg/dL (85 µmol/L) if conjugated bilirubin concentration is above:
