Pre-induction of labour with the use of prostaglandins is contraindicated when:
1) cephalopelvic disproportion (CPD) occurs;
2) previous deliveries were instrumental (with the use of forceps or a ventouse suction cup);
3) the pregnant woman has already delivered six or more times;
4) the foetus is not in longitudinal lie, cephalic presentation;
5) there are symptoms of severe intrauterine foetal distress;
6) the patient is allergic to prostaglandins;
7) the patient suffers from bronchial asthma, glaucoma or increased intraocular pressure;
8) placenta previa has been diagnosed or vaginal bleeding of unknown origin occurs;
